My lessons are available to all ages and ability levels at my home in Verwood and cover the following:

• Good Piano/Violin technique including correct sitting position & posture, hand/arm position, technical exercises to promote finger dexterity etc.
• Introduction to the Suzuki Method (particularly useful for younger pupils)
• Preparation and entering pupils for Grades 1-8 ABRSM exams (including pieces, scales, sight-reading, aural)
• A special focus on learning to read or improve your reading of Music
• Focus on confidence building, active listening and musicality
• A touch of personalisation: perhaps there’s a piece you’ve always had your heart set on playing that we can have as our goal?

In addition, I always try to touch on some Music theory in my lessons, as this is essential for actually understanding what you are playing, particularly if you are at the beginning of your journey in learning to read Music! However, due to limited time in the lesson, I also offer half hour lessons on the side to complement your Piano learning.
